What is a full proctological examination?A full proctological examination includes a finger examination of the perianal area (the area around the anus) and anoscopy or rectoromanoscopy. Anoscopy is a 5-8 cm examination of the rectum using a device. Rectomanoscopy - examination of the rectum and areas of the sigmoid colon.
-
How to prepare for an examination at the proctologist?1. Do not eat vegetables, fruits, colored drinks, alcohol, or spicy food the day before. 2. 2 hours before the examination, you need to put a hypertensive enema.
-
How to put an enema at home?1. Remove the protective cap from the tip of the bottle. 2. Lubricate the tip with lubricant or soap. 3. Lie on your left side, bending both legs at the knees. 4. With constant pressure, carefully insert the tip of the vial into the rectum so that it is directed to the navel. 5. Compress the bottle until all its contents go to the intestine. Stop the injection if any resistance is felt. Forced entry can cause harm! 6. Carefully remove the tip from the rectum. Possible leakage of some liquid from the vial. 7. Remain in the same position until there is a feeling of a strong desire to empty the intestine (usually it occurs within 2-5 minutes). 8. After use, put the vial back in the carton for disposal. If there is no urge to defecate during the specified time, you should consult a doctor.

Is it possible to visit a proctologist during the menstrual cycle? For routine examination, the day of the menstrual cycle is not important.
